Johnson BACnet Configuration
Preparation Process
To prepare for your CopperTree service and ensure a quick and easy installation please complete and return the Onboarding Packet provided by your CopperTree account representative.
Device Requirements
- 10000 points per CopperTree device, ~800 controllers
- Send CopperTree the BAS Subnet and IP of the NAE, NCE, or SNET device.
- Send CopperTree the port number (for both BAS and network), if not default (47808)
- If the BAS is not on the outbound internet, the device will need a connection to the internet via a USB-eth adapter
- Will require further configuration on the device (change eth0 → eth1)
- The device will need a static IP assigned to at least one of the 2 networks (outbound/BAS)
- ADS Server has a username set to BACnet object name
- On ADS Server, “routing mode” is disabled
- If routing mode is enabled, there is likely a third party BACnet that will be utilized in place of Johnson BACnet
- All NAEs should have unique device IDs. Please audit prior to connecting your device.
- If there are duplicate device IDs, it will cause issues for generic discovery but CopperTree can manually add them if we are aware ahead of time.
