Fume hood airflow is exceeding setpoint

Objective/Method/Outcome

Objective: Determines if the fume hood airflow is exceeding setpoint for more than the acceptable amount of time.

Method: Compares the Exhaust Airflow to the setpoint to determine if the Airflow is above the Airflow threshold during occupied hours.

Outcome: Creates a Fault Detection insight and a CTL for Weekly hours above setpoint.

Applicable System

Fume Hood

Description

Fume hood airflow is exceeding setpoint, which may result in excess energy consumption.

This rule is part of the CopperTree Standard rule-set.

Diagnosis

  1. Check fumehood control and programming logic.
  2. Review airflow sensor calibration.

Message

Fume hood airflow is exceeding setpoint, which may result in excess energy consumption.
