Health Compliance Package – Building Pressure [kPa] Analysis
Objective/Method/Outcome
Objective: Creates a Multipurpose Chart based on Building Pressure Analysis
Method: Analyses the Building Pressure and sorts it into 3 bins- positive, negative, and neutral based on the Neutral Pressure Limits.
Outcome: Triggers an insight.
Description
Analyze the building pressure and sort it into three bins: positive, negative, and neutral pressure. Bin outputs can be used in a Multipurpose Chart.
This rule is part of the CopperTree Standard rule-set.
Building pressure setpoint is not used in this rule, and this rule is designed to determine if pressure is negative consistently.
Note that the rule uses kPa as the unit for static pressure; the high and low limits need to be adjusted if the pressure unit is different.
Diagnosis
- Static pressure sensor may be faulty or mis calibrated.
- Review building static pressure control.
Message
Building pressure is below the negative threshold.

Inputs
Input | Unit | Tags | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Building Pressure | kPa | Building Static Pressure | |
Threshold – Daily Hours of Negative Pressure | Hr | The acceptable hours of negative pressure | |
Neutral Pressure Low Limit | kPa | Lower Limit for acceptable range of pressure | |
Neutral Pressure High Limit | kPa | Upper Limit for acceptable range of pressure |
Notes
Default Thresholds:
- Positive Pressure: >50 kPa
- Negative Pressure: <-25 kPa
- Neutral Pressure: -25 to 50 kPa
