Health Compliance Package – Zone hot water valve consistently 100% open

Objective/Method/Outcome

Objective: Determines if Zone hot water valve is constantly at 100% for zone level systems without a supply fan.

Method: Compares the hot water valve command to the error threshold to find the hours during which the value is open at 100%. This is compared to the hours of operation to determine if the valve is consistently at full capacity and find the avoidable cost of running the system at 100%.

Outcome: The rule triggers an insight and calculates potential savings.

Description

Monitor valve position TL and determine if the valve is constantly at 100%. Calculate the percentage of active hours that valve is at 100%.

This rule is part of the CopperTree Standard rule-set.

Diagnosis

  1. Valve could be manually overridden.
  2. Valve could be stuck open.

Message
