Health Compliance Package – Critical Zone Pressure Analysis

Objective/Method/Outcome

Objective: Determines if the zone pressure is outside the acceptable range

Method: Compares the recorded zone pressure to the acceptable range of pressure. If the recorded zone pressure was outside the range, for more than the acceptable amount of time, an insight is triggered.

Outcome: Triggers an insight.

Description

Determine the performance index of a pressure control system using the amount of time the pressure is not within the desired setpoint. This rule is part of the CopperTree Standard ruleset.

Default Priority

Low

Diagnosis

  1. Input sensor(s) faulty or miscalibration. Verify input sensor(s) operation.
  2. Automatic control has been overridden. Revert equipment back to automatic control.
  3. Issue with control loop. Review and modify controller tuning parameters.
  4. Primary air not available. Verify Air Handling Unit operation.

Message

Pressure is severely deviating from setpoint.

Rule Template

Insight Type: Integrity KPI

Trigger Type: Active High

Logic

Logic for determining Critical Zone Pressure

Inputs

Input Unit Tags Description
Static Pressure   Discharge Air Static Pressure The recorded Discharge Air Static Pressure
Static Pressure Setpoint    Discharge Air Static Pressure Setpoint The ideal or predetermined Discharge Air Static Pressure
Occupancy   Room Occupied
Threshold – Weekly Hours Outside Range Hr   The minimum hours of faulty operation to trigger insight
Threshold – Setpoint Deadband %   The minimum deviation from setpoint to trigger insight

Notes

This rule is designed for critical zones such as ORs where air pressure is key.

Default Thresholds:

  • Weekly Hours Outside Range: 4
  • Pressure Setpoint Deadband [%]: 15
