Date Part Logic Block
Description
The Date Part Logic Block brings contextual calendar information to Logic Rules. It can be configured to trend any calendar parameter in numeric form and hence allows for the creation of rules, whose behaviour depends on whether it is a workday or a weekend, Summer or Winter, etc.
Functionality
The Date Part Logic Block outputs a data series with a configurable sampling rate, where the value is the calendar parameter of interest.
Block Configuration
The Date Part Logic Block can be easily configured by specifying the following parameters:
Name: changes the name of the Logic Block as it appears in the Logic Flow. It is best practice to use a concise, descriptive name.
Date Part: Defines which calendar parameter the block will trend
- Year: in YYYY format
- Month: a number 1-12
- Day of Week: a number 0-6 for Monday → Sunday respectively
- Day of Year: a number 0-365(366) for Jan 1 → Dec 31 respectively
- Day: a number 1-31
- Hour: a number 0-23
Data Interval: Determines if the sampling frequency will be adjusted on request of fixed to custom, which is defined below.
Custom Interval: If ‘Custom’ is selected in the field above, determines the sampling frequency of the output data series.
