Create a Building and Map a CopperCube to the Building
Description
Within Kaizen, you can organize your data so that data from different buildings go to the right locations [buildings] in Kaizen. If you have two buildings [A and B] from where data is being sent to Kaizen, you could create two buildings in Kaizen so that data from A goes to Kaizen Building A and data from B goes to Kaizen Building B.
Adding a building
Please note that buildings can only be created in Kaizen through the Sales portal “Estimator”. You need access to Estimator to submit a quote. Once it is approved, the building will be automatically created. If you have any questions, contact our Sales team at [email protected].
Assigning a CopperCube to your Building
After creating a building, you must assign a CopperCube to the building in order to view your data in Kaizen. This can be done as follows:
- Open the Inventory (Cube icon on the top Kaizen bar) and check your CopperCube Deployed to client field. You can do this by clicking on the CopperCube of interest. Make sure that the CopperCube is deployed to the correct client, otherwise edit your CopperCube inventory.
- Click on the building of interest. Buildings can be accessed through the Navigation Tree on the top left-hand side. Buildings are listed under the corresponding client account.
- Once you are on the Building Dashboard, click on Settings.
- Click Devices.
- Click + to add a new CopperCube to the building. This will open a dialog box that will list all the accessible CopperCubes.
- Map a CopperCube to your building.
- Select the CopperCube from the drop-down menu (if your CopperCube is not visible, please contact your administrator or CopperTree Customer Solutions).
- Under Device Mapping, Add New Site. This Site Name must be exactly the same as the one you set up in the CopperCube.
- Enter the Device Range Start and Device Range End: This is the range of devices (controllers) from where data is being sent to Kaizen. Please note that if you do not include all the devices monitored by the CopperCube, that data will not be available in the building.
- Click Submit.
You can now map a CopperCube to your building. If required, you can map multiple CopperCubes to the same building.
