CopperTree Device Estimation
10000 points per CopperTree device, or ~800 controllers.
What CopperTree needs to know:
- Gateway and Subnet for all IPs related to BAS
- Port number (default for BACnet is 47808)
Additional Configuration Considerations
- Be sure the network requirement rules are added to your firewall in order to allow uninterrupted communication.
- If the BAS is not on the same network as the outbound internet connection, a bridge will need to be configured either virtually or physically.
- Please communicate with your CopperTree representative.
- CopperTree devices automatically assign on the BACnet system as device ID of 659999.
- Any additional CopperTree devices on the network will be assigned a device ID of n-1 (ex 599998), where n is the device installed beforehand.
- If this will result in a conflict on the BACnet network, please provide a device ID to CopperTree for manual assignment.
- Please make a note if BACnet is over IP or Ethernet. This will change the configuration by your CopperTree representative.
