View Logs and Queues

Description

The CopperCube has a number of logs and queues which help the user make sense of the signals they are receiving from the building and the signals they are sending to Kaizen.

Diagnostic Logs

The diagnostic logs in the CopperCube allow the user to view the error logs. These error logs will be useful for getting a deeper look into the errors that have been encountered by the CopperCube and troubleshooting purposes. The error messages are categorized into different subsystems and error types. The subsystems are Scheduler, Message Queue, and Database. The error types are status, info, warning, error, and verbose.

Procedure

The following steps can be taken to view diagnostic logs:

  1. Log in to the CopperCube using your username/password credentials.
  2. Click on Data and then Diagnostic Logs. This directs you to the Diagnostic Logs page.
  3. On this page, you can search for specific logs using the Subsystem and Error Type drop-down options. Additionally, use the Time Stamp feature to filter logs based on a particular timestamp.

SQL Queue

The SQL Connector Queue shows the list of data that is waiting to be transmitted to the SQL server you previously set up (for more explanation about the SQL connector, please click here). On the SQL Connector Queue page, you can view the Trend Log, Object, and Event queues. If the CopperCube is connected to your building network but is unable to send data to the SQL server, the data will remain in the transmission queue. Once the connection to the SQL server is established, the data in the queue will be transmitted to the SQL database and the data will be emptied from the queue.

Procedure

The following steps must be taken to view the SQL queue:

  1. Log in to the CopperCube using your username/password credentials.
  2. Click on Data and then SQL Connector Queue. This takes you to the SQL Connector Queue page.
  3. On this page, use the drop-down menu to select the SQL connector queue for the type of data that you want to view. You can view the queue for Trend Logs, Objects, or Events.
  4. Once you select a data type, a table containing the items in the transmission queue will be displayed. You can sort the items in this table and search for particular items using the Search option.

Transmission Queue

The Transmission Queue shows the list of data that is waiting to be transmitted to the cloud. On the Transmission Queue page, you can view the Trend Log, Object, and Event queue. If the CopperCube is connected to your building network but is unable to send data to the CoppreTree secure servers, the data will remain in the transmission queue. Once the connection to the cloud is established, the data in the queue will be transmitted to the cloud and the data will be removed from the queue.

Procedure

The following steps must be taken to view the transmission queue:

  1. Log in to the CopperCube using your username/password credentials.
  2. Click on Data and then Kaizen Transmission Queue. This directs you to the Kaizen Transmission Queue page.
  3. On this page, use the drop-down menu to select the transmission queue for the type of data that you want to view. You can view the queue for Trend Logs, Objects, or Events.
  4. Once you select a data type, a table containing the items in the transmission queue will be displayed. You can sort the items in this table, and search for particular items using the Search option.
