This release improves the operation and adds more features.
New Features in Kaizen V2.2.9
Insights
- Internal Infrastructure Insights for object missing property will no longer be generated. All existing related insights and subscriptions have been removed.
- A confirmation modal window will appear when marking Working Rules for a rerun.
- A number of CTLs were not getting generated as the device_settings table is corrupt – the cucube_serial value for device 0 should have a building_id in it but it was blank. These were corrected manually.
Invoicing
- GP account ID is no limited to 15 characters.
Enhancements
General UI
- ‘Sticky Settings’ are now available in the Kaizen Interface. If a search is done on a table, that search will remain as you navigate around that feature. Returning to that table will display the same content as before. Note that if you navigate to another feature (say, Insights to Reports), the ‘Sticky Settings’ will not be retained for Insights.
- Significant improvements inconsistent icon usage throughout Kaizen.
Insights
- Updates to the Rule Template and Working Rule Pages have been implemented
- Bulk enable/disable of Working Rules for a specific Rule Template.
- When a Rule Template is enabled, the user will be prompted to confirm if the associated Working Rules are also to be enabled.
- Rule Templates will now need to be enabled for a Working Rule to be enabled. Enabling a Working Rule for a disabled Rule Template will prompt the user to enable the Rule Template as well. *Infrastructure Insights have been updated:
- Priority Levels for all types can now be configured.
Invoicing
- Line item values will be rounded up or down to the closest dollar.
Reporting
- When a chart is generated and there is no data found to be displayed, the report will now contain an indication of that. The affected reports are:
- Building Operator Reports
- Digest and Executive charts
- Multipurpose cumulative, non-cumulative, and pie charts.
- Average 11-Input Comparison Chart
- The Insights Executive Report has had a number of updates:
- Top Table – Top 10 Action List which is the current outstanding insights sorted by highest priority first
- Bottom Table – the trend of the Insight count over the last week and the current week to date. This is shown as stacked bar charts and divided into Priority and Insight Type graphs.

Issues Resolved
Energy
- Day value target for the last day of a month will now be calculated and displayed properly.
Insights
- The Aggregate Logic Block was using the wrong start and end of a week for aggregation. It has been updated to now correctly aggregate from Monday to Sunday.
- Environment Canada Weather Data block will now properly provide data.
Invoicing
- Properly handle negative numbers in meter counts, so Energy pricing will be calculated correctly.
- PDF versions of draft quotes will now be generated properly.
- Sales Admin users can now only see the partners and clients that match their permissions.
Reporting
- The end date will appear in Reports when a custom date range is selected.
- Updates to Building Operator Reports allowing them to be generated more quickly.
- Device Backup Report will only display missing backups for over the last seven days.
Vault
- Trend Log object references can now be searched for using the double-quote characters.
- Duplicate Imported Trend Log names are no longer allowed within a building.
- E-mail Backup files now work properly from the Backup Details pages.
