Golden Standard Configuration

Description

Golden Standard is a snapshot of the building controllers and their important objects at a particular time.

When a CopperCube first connects to a building BAS network, it takes a snapshot of the building controllers and sends the object information to the Kaizen Cloud servers. This set of objects then becomes a Golden Standard. As the CopperCube sends more objects to the Kaizen Cloud, any deviation in the new objects from the Golden Standard will generate an Insight.

These Insights can be viewed on Kaizen under the “Insights” tab (following screenshot).

Golden Standard Insights.

The details of the Insight can be viewed by clicking on eyeball view button or it can be emailed by clicking on. The Insight can be snoozed by clicking on  for a predefined or user-defined period of time.

The differing values indicated by a Golden Standard Insight can be set or “promoted” to the new Golden Standard values by clicking on the Import Icon.

Golden Standard Configuration

Golden Standard configuration can be set or edited by clicking on settings button located at the “Golden Standard” tab.

Golden Standard Settings.

The properties of the controller’s object monitored under Golden Standard can be modified by first selecting the object type (above screenshot), then modifying the configurations (following screenshot).

Golden Standard’s Display name, group, and priority of each individual object’s property can be modified under this page. Each individual property of an object can be “Enabled” or “Disabled” to be monitored or ignored by the Golden Standard.

Display Name is the title given to an object property. It is intended to make the object property more obvious in regards to what the value means.

Group is a way to organize Golden Standard Insights for a particular object.

  • Primary Data is intended to represent high-level parameters like the description, manual mode, and the present value.
  • Setup Data represents parameters that affect the standard operation of the object, like a schedule or effective period.
  • Internal Data is used for low-level parameters that may be referenced within the object like default value and override value.

Priority refers to the Insight Priority to be displayed in the Insight Log.
