Description
The Precipitation Data Logic Block will provide the local precipitation data, based on the postal/zip code provided, and it outputs the millimeters of precipitation over a three-hour period. Data is received from World Weather Online, which services 233 countries worldwide. The weather station chosen is the closest geographical weather station to the input coordinates, which can vary depending on the building location.

Functionality
The Logic Block will provide the precipitation data of the nearest weather station, as millimeters of accumulation in a three-hour period.
- Geographical coverage: Canada, US, and world.
- Data Intervals: ONLY 3-hour data available.
- History and Forecast: ONLY Historical and NO forecast data available.
Logic Block Configuration
Logic Block configuration for the precipitation block is simple, with the only options being the Logic Block name and postal code.
Name: changes the name of the Logic Block as it appears in the Logic Flow. It is best practice to use a concise, descriptive name.
Postal Code(Data request): Does not have to be only postal code, airport code (IATA), city name, latitude/longitude, IP address are also acceptable. See the examples below:
- Postal Code: is used to locate the nearest relevant weather station.
- Airport code, e.g. LHR (London Heathrow Airport)
- City name, e.g. Stuttgart, Germany
- Latitude/Longitude, e.g. 49.1947, -123.1839 (Vancouver’s Latitude and Longitude)
- IP address, e.g. 206.122.22.101
