Overview of Kaizen 1.5.2
CopperTree Kaizen Version 1.5.2 has been released.

New Features in Kaizen 1.5.2
Web User Interface
Admin System
- Some error messages have been updated to provide a clearer explanation of the issue.
- Building, Client, Group names are now limited to a maximum of 64 characters in length.
- An upper limit to the device range has been made to the Device Settings definitions. The limit is set to 4194302.
- Users can now update their own passwords via the user profile link in the main page header. This is only available if the user is logged in.
- Administrator users are now able to update other users’ passwords directly without having to send a password reset e-mail.
- Building list tables now list buildings in alphabetic order.
Charts
- Chart and chart template names are now limited to a maximum of 64 characters in length.
- Chart names must now be unique within a building.
Energy
- A Trend Log can now be associated with an OAT value to appear in No Comparison and Baseline views. The OAT Trend Log can only be defined as a root meter.
- Meter names are now restricted to 64 characters in length.
- Add Meter sidebar has been updated for clarity.
- Once a Root Meter has been created only the Mapped Objects and Meter Units can be modified.
- Any Sub Meter once created can only change the Mapped Objects
Estimator
- The Estimator feature is now available. It will allow a Partner to provide estimation for delivering Kaizen and CopperTree functionality to clients. To access this functionality, a user must update their profile (as Admin) to allow Sales Access.
Insights
- The Insight Log table has been updated to allow sorting based on the Description of the insight. This will allow sorting by specific strings that are defined in the Description.
- E-mailed Report type Insights will now include the report name and schedule information.
- Insight names are now limited to a maximum of 64 characters in length.
Kaizen Client
- Overall styling for the Kaizen Client has been cleaned up for more consistency between pages.
- Data row selection will now use the View icon (binoculars) to open the element associated with that row. This replaces the ‘click anywhere in the row’ action.
- A number of the icons used for various features within Kaizen have been updated. This should provide a more consistent look through the client.
- The reset Password page has been updated to provide better messaging when invalid data is entered.
- When adding a new building to the Favorite Buildings list, the clients and buildings will be listed in alphabetic order.
- Client and Building logo images can now be cropped and will be displayed properly within Kaizen.
Logic Builder
- More weather stations have been added. The data is accessed using the Building Weather Stations logic block.
Reports
- Report names are now limited to a maximum of 64 characters in length.
- Defining logos for Reports has been made more clear. The Settings now reference the location of where the logo is to be placed.

Web User Interface
Admin System
- All new users will now be created with a valid Kaizen key.
Buildings
- The insight counts being displayed for buildings in the client dashboard, building list, and within the building’s Insight log will now be consistent with each other.
- Some users were experiencing issues when opening the Device Monitoring page. This has been corrected.
Charts
- When selecting chart colors, the mouse cursor will no longer change to a ‘disabled’ state.
- Consumption no Target template has been replaced with a new template: Consumption without Target. This new template corrects an error where OAT information was not being displayed.
- Charts can now be deleted properly.
- Chart template author will now be displayed properly when viewing chart template.
Energy
- Energy Consumption graphs for gas meters will now properly display a unit.
- Meter names will now be enforced to be unique within the same branch.
- The default view for the Performance page has been changed to Day view.
- Updated the calculations to display the correct values for monthly and daily energy consumptions.
Insights
- Corrected an issue for IE where date range and Favorite Filters.
- Kaizen will now verify if an insight template name has already been used in the building.
- Issues with Insight template creation wizard Save buttons have been corrected for Firefox browsers.
- Calculated Trend Logs will run properly both when scheduled and upon request.
- Multiple Calculated Trend Logs can now be displayed in the Insight summary pages.
- Delta logic blocks will only calculate up to the current point in time.
Kaizen
- Cancel buttons will now work properly in the sidebar windows.
- The list of clients on the Navigation page is now listed in alphabetic order.
- Some of the inventory fields were hidden from view. These have been re-enabled.
- CopperCube status label in Inventory has been updated to Decommissioned.
Reports
- Performance Executive report has been upgraded to generate a one-page PDF report.
- Bin Analysis Reports will now include the graph legend.
- Reports were caching data between executions and occasionally the same data would appear for multiple reports. This has been corrected.
- Some reports were being generated twice and will now be generated once.
TL Viewer
- Corrected issues where Kaizen was unable to display MT content for some specific Multi-Trends.
- The x-axis time values have been updated to be consistent between the Trend Log and Multi-Trend graphs.
- The Date Range drop-down control will now function properly after a CSV file is downloaded.
Known Issues in Kaizen X.X
Web User Interface
- The formatting of the configuration sidebars has been slightly broken. Functionality is not affected.
- Users could not be properly subscribed to some reports. The workaround is to add the user as a member of a group in the building where the report exists.
- Users may experience some delay while generating reports in PDF formats.
- Report content may not display properly when using FireFox or Internet Explorer browsers. Recommended browser is Chrome.
Hot Fix [June 6, 2014]
Kaizen 1.5.2 has been updated with 7 hot-fixes. These fix some of the Outstanding Issues above.
- The default time range for Energy has been updated from Day to Month.
- Formatting of Preview sidebar in Logic Builder has been corrected so long Logic Block titles are displayed properly.
- Proper login failure messages will now appear.
- Energy consumption values will be calculated and displayed correctly.
- CopperCube SQL option can be selected properly in the Estimator.
- Manage Devices icon again appears on the Building Settings page.
- Admin users can now correctly subscribe to other users to Reports.
